FFWD Normandie : targetting your markets

Thanks to the great and undeniable success of its first 3 seasons, FFWD launches a new tailor-made formula better suited to the needs of companies with high potential. These changes of form and timing will benefit the foreign companies : a first capital contribution of 100,000€ donated by the public regional fund “Normandie Participations”, an international scope with FFWD Europe which provides international partnerships, support from the Norman ecosystem as well as an access to regional aid, and at last, a more concentrated schedule for more efficiency.

The acceleration program will last up to 12 months after the selection of your company. FFWD Normandie will take place in Caen (EffiScience Science Park) and in Rouen (Madrillet Science Park), less than 2 hours from Paris, at the heart of Normandy (France).
You will have full access to a dedicated « ready for work » workplace throughout the duration of the program.

  • A SELECTION phase during which you will be challenged on your business model, growth potential and your entrepreneurial capabilities. The 10 best candidates will be selected by a panel of industrialists, investors and experts.
  • By the end of the selection process, an entry investment in equity up to 100 k€ will be proposed by the public regional fond “Normandie Participations” and its co-investors.
  • During the ACCELERATION phase (12 months), you will be monitored by one or several mentors and accompanied on technical aspects by partners of FFWD Normandie in their areas of expertise. Our mentors, well-known professionals, will help you to build a strategic vision of your company and potentially expand your horizons to new markets or to a professional network.
    The coaching program will start after an evaluation of the specific needs of each selected company. A regular and individualized schedule will be implemented covering the different topics related to your growth strategy.
  • A special event – Fast Forward Day (FFW’Day) – will be organized twice during the 12 months of  the acceleration phase. FFWD’Day will enable you to introduce your company and/or products to potential investors and customers.
  • During the FOLLOW-UP phase, you will receive expert advices on the different legal, fiscal or any other aspects related to your pending deals such as raising funds and business development.

Marc Maouche started his carrier in transport and joined the Direction Générale des Telecommunications (DGT) in 1986. At the end of his training in Telecom networks, he opted for the emerging commercial branch within the DGT.

He attended the 57th national session of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de la Défense Nationale (IHEDN) and is currently a member of the steering committee of l’AA IHEDN.

He was Adminstrator and a member of the Audit & Risk Committee of France Telecom SA until July 2012. He was also in charge of liaison with local authorities of Seine Saint Denis for Orange from May 2010 until November 2013.

Marc Maouche is currently Administrator of Orange Participations SA.

Franck Murray graduated as an Engineer from Ecole Centrale Paris in 1984, obtained a PhD in Physics and an MBA from ESSEC in 2003.

After different experiences within Philips and some startups in material analysis and optical disks, he served as the Senior Director of Technology Innovation for NXP where he held various positions in Operations and R&D with the mission of developing new technologies.

In 2009, Franck Murray founded IPDiA S.A. where he serves as Chief Executive Officer.

James Papas graduated in Chemistry from California State University-Long Beach.

He held various positions in Sales and General management in GAF, ISP, HAYWARD INDUSTRIAL FILTRATION, PTI FILTRATIONS, BEA FILTRI, PENTAIR and worked all over the world (North America, South America, Europe).

He is currently Global Category Manager in ABB’s branch of Specialty Fluids & Transformers in Switzerland.

Frédéric Raynal holds a Ph.D. degree in electrochemistry from the University of Paris XII and a DEA in process engineering from the University of Toulouse III

He started his career doing research on the scale up of electro-synthesis processes at Electricity of France (EDF) and on electrochemical activity of platinum nanoparticles for fuel cell applications at CEA Saclay. He also served as a research engineer at Technicatom.

Frédéric Raynal joined Alchimer in 2003 with a strong background in R&D, engineering and product development. He is Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering of Alchimer S.A. since 2012.

Yann Quéré graduated as an Engineer in Chemistry from HEI.

He has been working as a manager since the beginning of his career in different groups such as Beiersdorf, LVMH, and Mondelez International (Poulain and Cadbury brands) where he got a strong experience in quality & production, operations, logistics and supply chain management.

Yann Quéré serves as Factory Director at Mondelez International (ex Kraft Foods).

Olivier Kerrec obtained a PhD in Physics and Chemistry from Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris VI).

He started his career as Head of Group Mechanics & Corrosion (Nuclear applications) in EDF R&D where he then became Photovoltaïc project manager.

Olivier Kerrec currently serves as CEO in NEXCIS, spin-off from IRDEP Photovoltaic Energy.

Dany Sebire graduated as a Certified Chartered Accountant and External Auditor.

He is engaged in local development: he is a partner of the Regional Innovation Contest and Administrator of “Réseau Entreprendre”.

Dany Sebire is Associate Director of Caen Sud Normandie Business Unit and a member of the executive committee of KPMG in Normandie. He has a strong expertise in land acquisition and transfer of companies, business planning, business valuations and family business.

Romain Noyon graduated in Economics & Finance from University of Basse-Normandie, Caen, from University of Wisconsin of La Crosse (USA) and from Sciences Politiques in Paris.

He started his career in Areva in management control. He joined Noyon Group as a sales manager first and then became Director of Noyon Logistics and of NCI after that.

Romain Noyon currently serves as CEO of Noyon Group, a family owned company since 1835.

Jean-Yves Muller graduated from ESSEC Business School and as an Engineer from Ecole Centrale, Marseille.

He held various managing positions within Philips Group ( Sales, Marketing, Product and Project Management, R&D, change process and team management in consumer electronics, IT & telecommunications, semiconductors departments). He became CEO of NXP Semiconductors France.

Jean-Yves Muller founded FABIXIS and serves as its CEO since its creation.

David Leray graduated in Management Sciences from IGR Rennes in 1997. He also obtained a Master’s degreein Marketing in 1998.

He has 18 years of experience in entrepreneurship in internet and digital sectors, with a special focus on new digital practices, software and media services. He has been serving as a Business Angel for 10 years for about 10 companies and venture-capitalists.

David Leray is also an active member of the Investment Committee of Go Capital which is the main technology investment fund in Western France (funding at any stage of development, from start-up to international development). He also founded where he serves as Chief Executive Manager.

Hubert de Wazières has a strong experience in management, sales and industrial projects.

He held various positions of responsibility such as Purchasing Manager in Buying Centers, Manager of Corporate Accounts, Chief of Marketing in different industries from 1976 to 2005. He served as Director of Architectural Finishes Division (Europe) for PPG Industries before creating his own consulting company in 2010.

Hubert De Wazières is the CEO of HWConsulting, specialized in advisory and operational assistance to companies in management, marketing and sales strategy.

Antoine Amaury Lachaud has a Bachelor of Science (BSC) degree in Biochemistry as well as a PhD in Molecular & Cellular Biology from Laval University Cancer Research Centre (CRHDQ), Quebec City, Canada where he was a lecturer for two years.

He worked as a Marketing & Sales Manager within Biopredic SARL in Rennes, a French leading company in providing human & animal biological products. After that he served as a Director of the Sample Library & Reagent Trial Department dedicated to biological and clinical research in Biomnis in Lyon. He then was responsible for Middle East business development in Unilabs International in Copenhagen.

Since 2014 he works as a strategy consultant in Celenys, Rouen where he supports management projects relating to sales & marketing strategy as well as collaborations & partnerships.

Didier Villette graduated in civil engineering from l’Ecole des Mines in Nancy in 1975.

After a long experience of 20 years in heavy industry and thermal industry, he joined COGEMA (today AREVA) in 2001 at the Marcoule nuclear site where he was responsible for local economic development.

Since 2014, Didier Villette is in charge of local economic development through the “AREVADELFI” fund which represents more than 1000 business cases, 150 financed companies contributing to the creation of 3500 jobs in 10 regions around AREVA’s industrial sites, in France.

Benoît Fillion graduated as a Chemical Engineer from CPE Lyon. He obtained a Ph.D. in Industrial Chemistry in Pittsburg University.

After serving as a Technology Engineer in General Electric in Spain for 2 years, he co-founded ISODIS NATURA, an OM3 nutrition and natural health products company. After that he held various positions in Marketing and Sales in Abbot Vascular on European & Italian market.

In 2013 he founded Bionoto BVBA, a nutrition and health products company. He also is a consultant for Junicon Europe, company specialized in market research in the medical sector.

David Finkelstein received a B.S. Degree in Economics and Computer Sciences from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), and an MBA from Stanford University.  He currently resides in Washington, DC.

David Finkelstein is one of the founders of BrightCard, bringing over 25 years’ experience in international high-tech marketing to this company which is focused on identity management, with a specialization in smartcard technologies. Prior to founding BrightCard , he was in charge of US operations for UDcast, a French company providing IP services over wireless networks.

Before UDcast he was SVP of Marketing and Business Development with SkyBridge, the Alcatel-led project to provide high-speed last-mile services with a constellation of Low-Earth Orbit satellites. Mr. Finkelstein spent 6 years in the international division of British Telecom (BT), where he held several senior sales, marketing, and business development positions. He has also worked as a management consultant with Touche Ross & Co. in New York.

Jacques Robert graduated from Ecole Centrale de Lyon and obtained a Master of Science degree from MIT (USA).

Starting with operational responsibilities in manufacturing and sales for international companies in France, Canada and USA, he headed a profit center of Kodak group, then becoming General Manager of several midsize companies in the fields of Consumer products ans Technical products.

He founded Kinactis to provide assistance to midsize and start-up companies at key steps of their development.

David Bossan graduated as an Engineer in Environmental and Chemical process in 1992. He also obtained a MBA from Los Angeles Anderson School of Management in 2003 (exchange program with HEC Paris).

He held various managing positions in Veolia as project manager and head of department. He worked as the General Manager of the Packaging Coating division in PPG Industries. After running entrepreneurial projects, he became Managing Director of JBG Finances.

David Bossan founded Arol Energy in 2012 where he serves as President. It is specialized in turnkey solutions for purification of biogas and their conversion into energy.
